Angela grew up in a house by the beach in Malacca, Malaysia, off the Straits of Malacca. Her two brothers both played piano and guitar and led their own bands which specialised in the music of Elton John and The Beatles. The family's musical talents extended to her two sisters who became piano teachers. Angela who also displayed talent in both music and sport took piano lessons for a few years while at school in Malaysia during which time she often played for chapel time. It was at one of these chapel lessons that Angela at the age of 13 became a Christian.
She completed theological studies at Southern Cross College Sydney and is also a graduate of Faith Bible College New Zealand. She has ministered in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and USA and was an integral part of organising conventions in Malaysia and Australia for international guests such as Morris Cerullo and Kenneth Copeland.
Angela also has an honours degree in Town Planning and currently works as a Senior Town Planner in Sydney, Australia.
